Race Information: The 15th Annual running of The One & Only 5K Run/Walk will take place Saturday, October 18th at 1pm in Farmer City, IL. The race will start and finish at Blue Ridge High School. There will be awards for Best Costume and Best Group Costume. The name of the race comes from Farmer City's town slogan and we look forward to you enjoying “The One & Only” Farmer City as you progress through the course. Net proceeds from the event will benefit the scholarship program of the Farmer City Chamber of Commerce and Chamber community projects. By taking part, you will be helping students succeed.

Course Description:  The race will start and finish at South Park in Farmer City. It will be a grass and street route suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Awards: Overall Male/Female, 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over. Also, Best Costume and Best Group Costume

WAIVER AND RELEASE STATEMENT

 (All Athletes must read and sign)

I have read the accompanying event information and understand the policies of the event. I know that running and walking a trail race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter unless I am medically able and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with my voluntary participation in this event, including but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including extreme temperatures, traffic and all conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Knowing these facts, and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, or anyone else who might claim on my behalf, covenant not to sue and WAIVE, RELEASE AND DISCHARGE the Farmer City Chamber of Commerce, the City of Farmer City, all sponsors, race officials, workers or volunteers, their representatives, successors or assigns for ANY AND ALL claims or liability, whether forseen or unforseen, for death, personal injury or property damage arising out of, or in the course of my participation in this event. I further grant full permission to the above mentioned sponsors, organizers and or agents authorized by them, to use any photographs videotapes, motion pictures, recordings or other record of the event for any reasonable purpose.

Payment

Registration will also be available starting at 11am on the day of the race and will end at 12:45pm. Pre- registration is $20. Onsite registration on the day of the race is $25. Please note that T-Shirts will be provided to all pre-registered participants. Those registering onsite are not guaranteed a shirt or the correct size.
