Farmer City Christmas Parade

One of the largest and best Christmas parades in Central Illinois! The Sunday before Thanksgiving! Everyone comes out to celebrate! With over 100 floats every year, there's something for everyone! The theme this year is National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. It’s great that there are so many tasty options to warm up with—before, during and after the parade. The V.F.W. will be having their annual soup, dessert and drink. Trinity Church will be giving out hot chocolate and the Farmer City Fire Department will have chili after the parade.

Dewey and Janie King have lived and worked in Farmer City for close to 50 years. Dewey was Santa Anna Township Road commissioner in the late 70s and early 80s. He was a volunteer fireman with the Farmer City Fire Department for 35 years. Dewey was an FC Fair board member for many years, at one time…
