Announcing the 2024 Haunted Forest Dates!

Sponsored by the Farmer City Chamber of Commerce, the Farmer City Haunted Forest is an annual Halloween event located at South Park on Royal Road in Farmer City. The Haunted Forest is fun for everyone, and the best part? It's completely free!!! You can find an entire afternoon of fun for the entire family, and there's excitement for everyone. There will be a haunted hayrack ride through the Haunted Forest, face paintings, barrel train rides, kids games, a costume contest and so much more! (And don't forget about the yummy food trucks too)

The Haunted Forest is absolutely a must-do addition to your fall bucket list!

Farmer City Monster

The 1970s teemed with monster sightings, but this one — hulking shape, bright yellow eyes — was witnessed by a Farmer City police officer. Reports began one July, when three teens encountered it at their campsite in a field near Salt Creek. Everyone who saw it noted its glowing eyes, but it was not an aggressive creature. At each encounter, the Farmer City Monster fled as soon as it had been spotted. Rumor has is that the Farmer City Monster might make an appearance at the Haunted Forest this year!

Walk Through Weekend

October 4th & 5th from 6:00pm-10:00pm you can walk through the Haunted Forest and experience all the fright without the safety of the hayrack!

*Scare'ers are not allowed to touch attendees, but they can do anything else to scare you!

Scare Campsite Competition

Register to decorate your own spot on the Haunted Forest trail and compete against other campsites for the title of Scariest Campsite (plus the grand prize payout!) Attendees will vote for the scariest campsite in the forest!!

Weekly Fun Competitions!

Every Saturday join us for a fun contest and get in line early for the Haunted Forest Hayride!! Each Saturday will have a different contest (to be announced) and the grand prizes will have you running to enter!

South Park

The Haunted Forest is held at the South Park in Farmer City. Its straight south of town on Royal Road! While you're in town don't forget to check out our amazing downtown businesses and restaurants! (Tell them the Chamber sent you!)
